GIFS are limited to 256 colours, which makes them suitable for simple images or animations, but not for photographs.

GIFS are best used for creating simple animations, such as animated logos, loading icons, and memes. They can also be used for displaying short video clips or for creating stop-motion animations.

PNGS

PNGS, or Portable Network Graphics, are a versatile image format that supports transparency and a wide range of colours. Unlike JPGS, PNGS use a lossless compression algorithm, which means that the file size is larger, but the image quality remains intact. PNGS are best used for images that require transparency, such as logos or graphics with sharp edges.

PNGS are also useful for creating images that require a transparent background, such as icons or product images for e-commerce websites. Additionally, PNGS can be used to create high-quality graphics for print materials, such as brochures or business cards.

PSD

PSD files, or Photoshop Document files, are the native file format for Adobe Photoshop. PSD files can store multiple layers of images, allowing for greater control and flexibility when editing images. PSD files can also store other information, such as colour profiles, text layers, and vector graphics.

PSD files are best used for professional graphic design and image editing, as they offer greater control and flexibility than other image formats. They are commonly used by designers, photographers, and artists to create high-quality images for print and digital media.
